Welcome and thank you for choosing the Little Rock School District Pre-K Program to begin your child's educational journey! The goal of the LRSD Early Childhood program is to offer quality early childhood education opportunities for preschool children in the district through a school-based setting.  Having access to nurturing, supportive educational experiences will prepare our children to enter kindergarten with the necessary cognitive, physical, social, emotional and early language and literacy skills for success in school.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Your child must be 3 or 4 on or before August 1, 2026.

Birth Certificate

Social Security Card

Proof of Residence (ex. utility billing statements)

Proof of Income (ex. Tax Document)

New - Sliding Fee Scale for Families

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, the Little Rock School District Early Childhood Program will implement a Sliding Fee Scale for families who do not meet the income eligibility for the Arkansas Better Chance (ABC) Grant. This structure provides a fair and affordable payment option based on household income and family size, ensuring more families have access to high-quality early learning in LRSD. Our goal is to maintain equity, sustainability, and continued access to early childhood education for all families in our community.
