Welcome to the Little Rock School District Student Registration web page. Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about registration, transfers in neighborhood attendance zones and enrollment documentation requirements.

The Student Registration Office is open 12 months a year from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The  staff is available to assist you with registration, school information and assignments. The Student Registration Office is located at 501 Sherman Street in downtown Little Rock.

Registration for the current school year will continue at the Student Registration Office. All new students to the district, including incoming kindergarten and early childhood students, (four year old students), will be able to complete registration paperwork at the Student Registration throughout the school year until further notice. NEW! This year Open Enrollment for the 2017-18 school year is scheduled from December 5 through December 16, 2016.  We are asking parents to bring two copies of the application packets to expedite the enrollment process. Parents of NEW Kindergarten through 12th grade students may come to the Student Registration Office located at 501 Sherman Street between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.   At this time Forest Heights STEM applications and magnet/specialty school applications will also be accepted.  This year, all specialty/magnet school applications will be logged at the Student Registration Office.

Early Childhood Open Enrollment (P3/P4) will be held at Woodruff Early Childhood Center, which is located at 3010 W. 7th Street.  To read more about the P3/P4 requirements, CLICK HERE.

Address changes will be accepted during this time.  If your child will be attending the attendance zone school that corresponds with your current address, you don’t need to do anything — unless you are new to the district—your child will automatically roll up to the next grade level. Sixth and ninth graders will also automatically roll up to the next grade level at your attendance zone school.

If you move in the middle of the school year, students may remain at their assigned school for the remainder of the current school year with NO TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED BY THE DISTRICT.

NEW! The last day to submit an Optional Enrollment Request Form for magnet school placement during the 2016-17 school year was October 28, 2016.  

Effective May 25, 2016: We will no longer accept Forest Heights STEM applications nor P3 (3 year old) applications for the 2016-17 school year.

PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SCHOOL FEEDER PATTERNS:

Please note: Sibling preference* will only be granted to students who are currently attending the school of interest and the student (sibling) has maintained enrollment.

*Sibling preference will not be granted during Open Enrollment periods for students who are terminating an organizational level, i.e., siblings who are at the 5th, 8th and 12th grade levels, with the exception of 5th grade students at Forest Heights STEM Academy.
