Time to Check In for the 2017-18 School Year

Attention LRSD Parents:

Please be advised that Check-in for the upcoming school year is earlier this year – May 15-19 for elementary and middle schools.  (High school check-in dates are July 27-28, 2017).

ALL ELEMENTARY and MIDDLE SCHOOL parents are strongly encouraged to check in May 15-19 at their child's assigned school.  If you have moved please report to the LRSD Student Registration Office located at 501 Sherman Street with two current proofs of residence. To help us better serve you, please keep your phone number, address, and email address updated. In order for students to receive a bus for the first day of school, August 14, 2017, address changes must made by June 15.  Students who move from now until the end of the school year are allowed to complete the school year at their assigned school if the parent can provide transportation.  Additionally, most students who are attending schools outside of their attendance zone (magnet schools, transfers, etc.) will not be reassigned due to an address change.

Check-in days and times are as follows:

Elementary Schools

  • May 15-16            7:40/7:50 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • May 17-19            7:40/7:50 a.m. – End of school day (Normal school hours)

Middle Schools  

  • May 15-16             9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • May 17-19             9:00 a.m. – End of school day (Normal school hours)

Forest Heights STEM Academy will hold Student Check-In May 15-19, 2017 in the Media Center.

  • The schedule is as follows:
  • May 15th -Monday – 8:00 -6:00
  • May 16th – Tuesday – 8:00 – 6:00
  • May 17th – Wednesday – 8:00 – 3:00
  • May 18th – Thursday – 8:00 – 3:00
  • May 19th – Friday – 8:00 – 3:00

Checking in now allows the district to prepare for your child’s arrival next year, including scheduling and transportation.

All student registration forms can be found at this link.  In order to expedite the process, you may complete the forms and take them with you to check-in.  However, you will be required to complete a Pupil Information Form on site.

*  Please also note that there may be a slight variation in times for each site, depending on the agenda for your child’s school.  If you have questions, please check with the respective school.
