6th & Reichardt streets

School no longer in operation
Building no longer exists

The Pfeifer School began as a two-room portable building on E. Capitol and Parker streets in 1915. In 1927 the building was destroyed by fire, and the students were housed in a church on East 6th Street until the building on Reichardt Street was completed. Pfeifer closed at the end of the 1970-71 school year; it was demolished in November 1972. The school was named for Phillip Pfeifer, a pioneer businessman.

The LRSD Supply Center/Procurement Department now occupies this site.
