DID - LRSD Board Policy

It is the policy of the Little Rock School District to maintain a continuing inventory of all property of the District – capital assets, physical facilities, equipment, materials and supplies.  The District Operations Manual and board regulation DID-R will define the inventory function.

The Procurement Department is assigned responsibility for centralized inventory administration of capital assets, equipment, materials and supplies.  Any department/school maintaining an inventory for operational purposes will coordinate their inventory function with Procurement.  A two-year rotating plan for physical inventory of capital assets and equipment will be followed. The inventory will be conducted by an independent third party awarded a contract by the District. 

The facilities services department is assigned the responsibility for the centralized inventory administration of physical facilities.
