LITTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT - NEPN CODE:  DFB

REVENUES FROM SCHOOL-OWNED REAL ESTATE

It is the policy of the Board of Education to encourage acceptable uses for school buildings which are not being utilized by the District.  Consistent with appropriate law, the District will lease or sell these buildings when it is reasonably certain that the present and future educational needs of the District can be met without the use of said properties.

When determining fair compensation for a lease or sale, consideration must be given to the market value of the property, the original and subsequent costs of the property to the District, and the proposed use of the property, including its benefit to the community and to the lessee/buyer.

Proceeds from the sale of District properties will go into the capital projects fund and lease funds will be used to offset the operating costs of school properties.  These funds will be included in the budget for the school district.
