The camp started as a half-day program in 2007 at one campus, Chicot Elementary, serving about 100 students. Since then it has expanded to two separate sites and grown significantly, serving almost 400 students each summer.
Students now spend a full day engrossed in both academic and extracurricular enrichment with mornings dedicated to core subject curriculum and afternoons designed to provide exposure to the arts, STEM, athletics, etc. Throughout the day, ESL trained and certified instructors implement best practices and strategies to support and accelerate English language acquisition.
